Mr. Afshar represents special opportunity funds, private equity groups, and their portfolio companies in a wide variety of financing opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region, with particular emphasis in China, India, and Southeast Asia. His practice covers a wide range of complex, cross-border corporate transactions including private offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and venture investments.

With more than a decade of experience in international legal practice Bobby continues to advise clients across a variety of industries on corporate governance and regulatory concerns such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Anti Money Laundering Act, International Tariffs, and Capital Control Regimes.

Prior to joining LehmanBush, Mr. Afshar worked in a leading global law firm based in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong and served as Foreign Legal Counsel to the National Intellectual Property Administration of China. His secondments include time with a US based real estate fund and an Asian based cryptocurrency exchange. Mr. Afshar currently sits on the Board of Governors of AmChamUS and splits his time between the United States and Asia.

Mr. Afshar has advised on a wide variety of projects including: US Real Estate Fund with $250 Million AUM on Purchase of Florida Hotel Assets; Singaporean Commercial Aviation Company on Divestment of $100 Million in Aircraft Assets; US Publicly Listed Esports Company on De – SPAC Transaction of $500 Million in Gaming Assets; European Special Situation Fund with $350 Billion AUM on Various Global Transactions; Swiss Trading Company on Sale of $50 Million in Energy Assets to Chinese State Owned Entities; Malaysian Mining Company on Sale of $140 Million in Various Oil, Gas and Mineral Transactions; Global Mobility Clients on Purchase of $250 Million in US/EU Mixed Use Real Estate; Advised Trust Structure Clients on Portfolio Investments Totaling $100 Million AUM; Intra Company Clients on Investment of $80 Million in US Assets.
